Bentley Continental GT The Bentley Continental GT was introduced in 2003 as the first in a new generation of Continental models, marking a significant change of direction for Bentley: from small-scale, hand-built luxury cars to a more accessible, higher-volume grand tourer built on the Volkswagen Group D1 platform. The design, with its characteristic powerful, muscular lines and compact coupe shape, was praised at the time as a modern reinterpretation of the classic Bentley coupes of the 1950s and 1960s. The Continental GT was produced at the Crewe factory in England and went on to become the best-selling model in the brand's history. Under the hood lies the impressive 6,0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, a unique architectural concept in which two VR6 engines are effectively coupled together at a 72-degree angle. In this configuration, the engine delivers approximately 560 hp and over 650 Nm of torque, driven via an automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
