The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class was their grand tourer produced from 1992 to 2014. The name CL stands for the German Coupé Luxusklasse (Coupé-Luxury) and was considered by Mercedes as their premium model. Unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, the C216 was the third generation of the CL, with a production run until 2014.
First registered in the UK on 2nd March 2007, this Mercedes-Benz CL500 is finished in Germanite Grey with a Grey leather interior, complemented by wonderful burred walnut veneer trim that only conveys luxury when seen together in the handsome cabin. Progress is made via the 5.5 litre (5,462cc) V8 engine paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. So, what refinements does the CL500 get? There is no doubt it is very well specified, featuring air conditioning, ABS, alloy wheels, headlamp washers, power-assisted steering, a sunroof, heated electric seats and Distronic Plus cruise control - able to bring the car to a complete stop, and accelerate again to the pre-set speed.
