The Hyosung GV650 Aquila is a cruiser-style motorcycle. Its V-Twin engine is also found in the GT650R and GT650S sportbikes. The engine looks like the one found in the Suzuki SV650 by general layout, however sizes of practically all elements differ and the parts are not interchangeable. The GV650 has a belt drive, contrary to GT650 with which it shares an engine.

With an impressive retro design, finished in Blue with a Black leather seat and described by the vendor as being in very good overall condition, this Hyosung was first registered in the UK on 1st June 2007. A distinctive and attractive cruiser, it offers something a little different from the more commonly seen marques. Having had just two former keepers, the current owner has enjoyed the bike for the past three years and three months.

Although the brand is less familiar than some of its rivals, parts are said to be readily available and can be sourced directly from South Korea. The GV650’s engine is based on a proven Suzuki-derived design, giving it a reputation for reliability and straightforward maintenance. Since acquiring the bike in 2023, the current owner has undertaken several maintenance and improvement works. It has been fully serviced using OEM parts, while the carburettor has been cleaned and run on premium fuel, resulting in smooth idling and running. The front forks have been stripped, restored and fitted with new seals, and a replacement engine side-casing has been installed for cosmetic enhancement. The radiator has also been replaced.

Further improvements include the fitment of a new OEM exhaust in 2023, replacing a previous aftermarket item, along with the addition of an indicator warning buzzer. The bike also benefits from an adjustable foot peg setup to suit riders of different heights, with two different-length gear linkages included.

The owner advises that the motorcycle has been regularly treated with anti-rust protection, always garage stored and carefully maintained throughout their ownership. It is now being offered for sale due to health reasons. Weighing approximately 220kg, it is a substantial cruiser whilst remaining relatively manageable to ride. The sale also includes workshop manuals.
