Built in October 1961, as confirmed by its accompanying Heritage Certificate, this Morris Mini Minor represents one of the earliest chapters in the story of Britain’s most iconic small car.

Its current owner never intended to buy it. Originally searching for a Mini Pick Up, he found himself faced with an unusual proposition when the seller refused to separate his collection of five Minis. Reluctantly purchasing them all, it wasn’t long before this Morris became the one that captured his attention.

Unlike many cars of its era, it had never previously been repainted, retaining much of its originality despite replacement front wings awaiting attention. Recognising its potential, the owner embarked on a meticulous restoration with one simple goal. To create the very best example possible while remaining faithful to the original specification.

The result speaks for itself. The car has been restored to an exceptional standard using Heritage tyres, beautifully refinished chrome, professionally remanufactured opening rear windows and countless carefully sourced original details. Even the instrument surround was removed and re chromed to ensure nothing fell below the owner’s exacting standards.

Never stored outside during its current ownership, the Mini has been kept in a dry private garage and carefully maintained as part of a cherished collection. Accompanied by its V5 and Heritage Certificate, it presents an exceptional opportunity to own an early Morris Mini Minor restored with patience, passion and extraordinary attention to detail.

This Morris was never meant to come home.

The intention was to buy a Mini Pick Up, but the owner of the collection refused to sell just one car. The only option was to buy all five. What began as an unexpected purchase soon became something much more personal, because this little Morris quietly stood out from the rest.

It had never been painted before. There was an honesty about it that couldn’t be ignored. Rather than seeing another restoration project, its new owner saw an opportunity to preserve something truly special.

The restoration became a labour of love. Every decision reflected a determination to do the job properly, not quickly. Heritage tyres were sourced, the rare opening rear windows were remanufactured and re chromed, and even the instrument surround was restored because anything less simply wasn’t good enough.

Today, every time the garage door opens, it is impossible not to admire what has been achieved. The colour, the chrome and the beautifully finished interior come together to capture everything people love about the original Mini. It feels exactly as it should, authentic, beautifully presented and full of character.

The decision to let it go has not been an easy one. Another project now waits in the wings, making space for this Morris to begin its next chapter with someone who will appreciate the countless hours of craftsmanship hidden within every detail.

It has been loved, protected and restored with enormous care.

Now it is ready to create memories with its next owner.
