Purchased in February 1980 by the current owner, this 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster has remained in the same devoted hands for more than forty-five years.

Although the V5 records four previous keepers, the reality tells a different story. A clerical error saw the car transferred into the owner’s company, Polar Motor Company Ltd., before being correctly returned to his personal ownership. In truth, this E-Type has effectively had just two custodians since new.

Throughout more than four decades of ownership, the car has never simply been maintained. It has been cherished.

In 2000, determined to preserve it for the future, the owner entrusted the car to respected Jaguar specialist Derek Watson of Great Longstone. The work included a comprehensive overhaul of the legendary 5.3-litre V12 engine together with replacement door skins, ensuring the car remained every bit as rewarding to drive as it was to admire.
