- Triumph introduced what was probably the first naked factory streetfighter in 1994, with production running until 1996, before the launch of the T509 Speed Triple, and it was an immediate success
- Raw, aggressive looking and a genuine analogue muscle bike, it featured 43mm adjustable Kayaba forks, twin 310mm front discs, four-piston calipers, 180-section rear tyre, and rising-rate rear suspension
- A superb almost 100bhp three-cylinder engine and a relatively sophisticated chassis meant that they achieved a strong following early on
- This smart example was, for some reason, a late registration in 1999 by Triumph dealer Three Cross Motorcycles of Dorset, and probably the very last of the Mark 1 Speed Triples to be registered.
