Jaguar reached the zenith of the XK's development with the XK 150 S, combining the most refined chassis of the XK line with the kind of race-bred engineering that had helped define Jaguar's reputation in the 1950s. Retaining the proven underpinnings of its predecessors while introducing a more spacious cabin and newly restyled body, the XK 150 initially developed 190 horsepower in standard form, while the S model raised output to an impressive 250 horsepower through the adoption of triple SU carburetors and a competition-style straight-port cylinder head. Elegant, powerful, and beautifully balanced, the Jaguar XK 150 S 3.4 Roadster stands as one of the most desirable open two-seaters of its era.

Originally delivered in July 1958 through Jaguar Cars New York in the United States, this left-hand-drive example was finished in Mist Grey over Dark Blue and fitted with a four-speed transmission with overdrive, a configuration it still wears beautifully today.

Although the car's title lists 1961 as the year of first registration, it is said that the car may have been displayed in the dealer's showroom after arriving in the United States.

In Belgium since the early 2000s, this XK 150 S was entrusted to Classic Car Service in Belgium for a painstaking “last nut and bolt” restoration to concours condition, completed in 2008. Subsequent mechanical work included a rebuild of the engine's top end, renewal of the sump gaskets and seals, replacement of the clutch, and a full overhaul of the braking system, including a new master cylinder and brake lines.

The current owner, a knowledgeable Belgian connoisseur, acquired the car in 2016 to add it to his superb collection. He has retained all invoices for maintenance work carried out on the car over the past decade, as well as several earlier records. The car also holds a Belgian inspection valid through 2030.

Retaining its original matching-numbers S-specification 3.4-liter engine, body, and chassis, and presented in its original color combination as confirmed by the accompanying Jaguar certificate, this highly sought-after XK 150 S 3.4 Roadster represents an exceptional opportunity for the discerning collector to enjoy a fully restored example of Jaguar's most powerful open-topped roadster of the late 1950s.
