Estimated Price: £6,500 - £8,500
- The R90 S was one of BMW's landmark motorcycles: a fast, sporting version of the traditional BMW boxer, with a small cockpit fairing and distinctive styling. BMW wanted the R nineT Racer to evoke that period — 1970s BMW racing and café-racer culture, rather than simply produce another modern sports bike
- Announced in October 2016, alongside the R nineT Pure, the R nineT Racer certainly fitted the early 1970s sports bike brief with its short half-fairing, hump seat, low handlebars and rear-set footrests
- At the heart of the bike is BMW's iconic, air/oil-cooled 1,170cc DOHC boxer twin engine, affectionately known as the 'camhead', offering 110bhp and 87lb/ft through a slick six-speed gearbox paired with a low-maintenance shaft drive
- While the engine performance and frame geometry remained identical, the Racer S included several factory-installed options bundled as standard equipment including wire-spoked wheels, heated handgrips, chromed exhaust system and LED indicators
- This example is one of only 31 bikes produced in S trim, has covered just 1,597 miles, and remains in stunning condition
- Not used on the road since 2022, the bike is regularly started and run up to temperature and has been used recently, but may require light recommissioning prior to use
- Supplied with a current V5C, BMW book pack with riders manual etc.
- A fantastic opportunity to purchase a superb, low mileage, R nineT Race S that is cosmetically superb and is reported as running and riding well
