- The Mark 1 Interpol was based upon the Norton Commando, however, for the 1980s Norton introduced the Interpol 2, which was powered by a 588cc Wankel twin-chamber air-cooled rotary generating 85bhp and 56lb.ft of torque
- Unlike standard Norton motorcycles, the Interpol 2 was never sold to the general public. Instead, its production run from 1984 to 1989 was strictly restricted to fleet customers. Only about 350 units were produced in total, primarily serving the RAC, British police forces, and the military police - particularly the Royal Air Force Police
- This example unusually has all of its Police kit in place and working and is an ex-Military Police Bike from Cyprus, with fully operational sirens, blue lights and 'RMP STOP' sign at the rear of the bike. The bike is supplied with Norton branded coverings for the emergency lights when in use on public roads
- Described as 'running and riding', but with little use recently, the bike may require some light recommissioning, prior to returning to the road
