The original Audi RS performance estate, the RS2 was a remarkable collaboration between Audi and Porsche, produced between March 1994 and July 1995 and based upon the Audi 80 Avant. With a contemporary price of £45,705, it was an exceptionally capable and expensive car in its day, with specially prepared bodyshells transported to Porsche’s Zuffenhausen facility in Stuttgart for final assembly and enhancement.

Porsche-developed suspension and braking components were complemented by an extensively uprated version of Audi’s 2.2-litre, five-cylinder, 20-valve turbocharged engine, including a Porsche-specified KKK turbocharger. Producing 311bhp at 6,500rpm and 302lb/ft of torque at 3,000rpm, power was delivered through a six-speed manual gearbox to all four wheels, with a manually activated locking rear differential. The resulting 0–62mph time of just 5.4 seconds and 163mph top speed were extraordinary figures for a practical five-door estate.

This desirable, UK-supplied, right-hand-drive example is finished in striking Nogaro Blue, complemented by Nogaro Blue Alcantara with contrasting black hide seating. The V5 records just three former keepers, whilst the odometer was showing 38,806 miles when the car was photographed.

It was originally supplied by Scotts of 214/224 Pavillion Road, London and registered to its first owner on 18/01/1995, before later being purchased by our vendor on 31/08/2022. The extensive history file that accompanies the car gives details of diligent servicing with 20 stamps after its PDI commencing on 25/10/1995 @ 3,141 miles by Scotts (+ a further 6), a total of 11 services by Victoria Audi and latterly two services by Northampton Audi, with the most recent being on 11/09/2026 @ 38, 810 miles.

Further attention over the years includes a Meta Trak S7 Tracker Fitted by Stratosphere Auto Systems (09/09/2022), an extensive mechanical refresh with genuine Audi parts where possible, including cambelt, new water pump, brake discs & pads, brake lines renewed, calipers serviced and repainted by APS Brackley (15/12/2023), new genuine windscreen by APS Brackley(15/12/2023), bodywork refreshed by APS Merlin Bodycraft (26/01/2024), and the roof lining and door cards were refreshed by Auto-Trim Systems in Leicester.
