Documents: German Fahrzeugbrief
Chassis No. HKBF9

Delivered new to Auto Becker in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 2 February 1960, this Facel Vega HK500, HKBF9, was originally finished in white, with a black leather interior, grey headliner, and automatic transmission.

A striking expression of the marriage between French elegance and American power, the car was subsequently exported to the United States. In 1990, HKBF9 was reimported to Europe by Joop Stolze Classic Cars in the Netherlands and was sold to a Belgian enthusiast who acquired it as a restoration project. Commencing in 1995, the restoration was a comprehensive six-year undertaking, carried out with the guidance and assistance of the Amicale Facel Vega NL, both for technical advice and the sourcing of spare parts. Once completed, HKBF9 was used as intended, taking part in numerous rallies and tours.

In 2008 the car made its way back to Germany, where it was acquired by a doctor in Hamburg, driven sparingly during his ownership. The current owner acquired it nearly ten years ago and since then, HKBF9 has benefited from regular mechanical servicing and maintenance carried out by M&R Automobile. Additionally, the consignor has fitted the passenger door with a champagne compartment and period glasses. The accompanying file includes the invoices documenting this period of ownership, as well as a major service completed in May 2026, followed by a valid German technical inspection.

HKBF9 presents today in beautiful dark green over beige leather. Its refined late-1950s interior and powerful V8 make it an exceptional grand tourer, ready to offer its next custodian memorable journeys, with the opportunity to continue, if desired, its long-standing connection with the Amicale Facel Vega community.
