The 1964 Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback is a true icon of understated style and clever engineering, capturing the essence of 1960s European motoring with its clean lines and compact form. This model perfectly blends vintage charm with subtle modern enhancements that elevate its presence on the road. With a driver-quality red repaint that radiates a strong shine and a thoughtfully reupholstered tan interior that evokes timeless comfort, this Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback invites you to enjoy a classic experience with a fresh, well-maintained appeal.
Step inside to discover a cabin that balances simplicity and comfort with a unique canvas-like tweed upholstery covering the seats, headliner, and door panels. The short-pile carpet complements the warm tan tones, while the factory-style AM radio, despite being inoperative, adds to the period-correct charm. The interior's tactile materials and the practical flip-forward front seats make for an inviting space that retains its vintage character and thoughtful restoration.
Beneath the rear trunk lies a 1,641cc dual-port flat-four engine paired with a smooth-shifting 4-speed manual transaxle, delivering a classic air-cooled rumble that thrills enthusiasts. An aftermarket dual exhaust with header-style pipes amplifies the engine's crisp notes, while the factory-style suspension rides on modern 15-inch alloys wrapped in 2026-date-code Falken tires, ensuring a confident stance and responsive handling. The driving experience is engaging, with a healthy engine feel and straightforward mechanics that celebrate the art of vintage motoring.
