The 320i was originally delivered in one of the most beautiful E36 colours: Boston Grün Metallic. It suits the convertible perfectly and it’s no surprise that it was a popular colour back then. There is no history of damage and the paintwork is still 90 per cent original. The jacking points are rust-free. The original BMW ‘Styling’ alloy wheels also look great and are fitted with excellent tyres. A very well-maintained hidden gem, then. This 320i convertible is in a league of its own compared to the average listings online. The car drives superbly and exactly as it was meant to, that is, like a genuine classic BMW. The 6-cylinder engine is truly still the heart of this car. What’s more, a beautiful, unspoilt E36 is almost impossible to find these days; most examples are far from original due to the wrong wheels and unsightly spoilers. Often, the mileage is also considerably higher and they require ‘a bit of work’ due to overdue maintenance.
