We are so pleased to bring to market this stunning Ford Fiesta XR2. This example is outstanding in every way and would appear to be completely factory standard. It has been a labour of love, big time, that probably went a little too far; we dread to think how much money has gone into it. The story is that the owner decided to do a few jobs on his XR2, new sills and things like that, and well you can guess the rest. On it went to create what we seen before us today. We would go as far as to say this may be the best XR2 on the market at this moment in time, it is just simply an amazing example in every way. The Fiesta looks like it should be sat in a Ford showroom in 1989, in fact it’s probably better than new, but you decide when you take a closer look. It is finished in red with the standard cloth seats, has the standard wheel caps on it (many think are prettier than the alloy wheels), has a factory sunroof and the driving lamps, standard radio cassette, cassette holder, and mats.

The XR2 was first registered on 1/8/1989 to Jersey, then came to the mainland almost straight away. This was a common practice back then to register on the Channel Islands and then bring them back to the UK. The paperwork suggests that it was registered on 13/7/1989 in Jersey then on 1/8/1989 in the UK. It has only had three previous owners, so as well as being lovely, its low ownership as well.

The paperwork is quite good too, with possibly every MOT it has ever had, lots of old tax discs and some invoices. We also have its full book pack and service book, current and old V5, and a clear HPi- everything you want to see with your classic. If you have any desire to own a fast Ford or are a collector, this has to be on your radar, everything about it just appears to be right.
