The Jaguar XKR has aged remarkably well, and the supercharged 4.2-litre V8 remains one of the highlights of this generation. This 2004 convertible is finished in black with a contrasting cream leather interior, a combination that works particularly well with the XKR's elegant styling and purposeful stance.
Externally, it presents very nicely, retaining its distinctive bonnet vents, mesh grille, multi spoke alloy wheels and subtle rear spoiler. The black convertible hood complements the bodywork, while inside, the cream leather upholstery and dark wood trim provide the traditional Jaguar atmosphere. The interior is generally presentable, although the driver's seat shows noticeable wear to the outer bolster and would benefit from some attention.
The accompanying history includes six stamps in the service book alongside a selection of previous invoices. More recently, approximately £1,800 has been spent with Black Dog Motors Northwest, including replacement rear brake discs, brake caliper repairs, an oil and filter change and work relating to the engine management system, including a replacement purge valve. Despite this recent expenditure, the engine management light has subsequently returned and remains illuminated, something prospective buyers should be aware of.
With approximately 63,000 miles indicated, four former keepers and two keys, this XKR offers plenty of appeal for someone looking for a supercharged Jaguar convertible. Although not without a few areas requiring attention, it presents well externally and benefits from documented recent mechanical expenditure.
