• Launched in 1965, the Fiat 850 coupé was developed as a stylish, performance-oriented version of the popular 850 saloon. Often nicknamed the 'baby Ferrari' it featured sleeker bodywork, uprated suspension, and a tuned version of Fiat’s rear-mounted engine. Compact, agile, and elegantly proportioned, it offered everyday usability with a dash of Italian sophistication
• Designed in-house by Fiat Centro Stile, it managed to transform the humble, utilitarian underpinnings of the standard 850 saloon into a stunningly proportioned mini-GT car
• Imported from Italy by our vendor in 2022, having remained in the possession of one family from new and spent its more recent years stored in their garage
• Subsequently treated to extensive recommissioning, encompassing servicing and overhauls of the cooling system, carburettor and brakes, together with renewed suspension components, front kingpins, road tyres and a battery
• The interior was also restored, completing a programme of work intended to return this engaging little Fiat to regular enjoyment
• Enjoyed on three trips to the Le Mans Classic and reportedly successful at local car shows, it attracts attention and conversation wherever it goes - a sociable little classic with an infectious sense of fun
