This 1953 Chevrolet five-window pickup combines one of Chevrolet's most recognizable early truck designs with a thoroughly modern drivetrain, chassis and interior. Finished in vivid PPG Victory Red, the truck presents with a smooth, highly polished exterior accented by a bright chrome grille, chrome bumpers, polished trim and classic Chevrolet badging.

Power comes from a GM ZZ4 350ci crate V8 rated at 300 horsepower. The engine is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum intake, finned aluminum valve covers and a polished air-cleaner assembly. An aluminum radiator helps manage engine temperature, while modern air conditioning makes the truck far more comfortable during warm-weather driving.

The ZZ4 is paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, providing the relaxed cruising ability that is often missing from traditionally built vintage pickups. Lokar dipsticks and an American Autowire harness are among the thoughtful supporting upgrades incorporated into the build.

Rather than relying on the original 1953 chassis and suspension, this pickup was built on a late-model Chevrolet Tahoe chassis. The modernized foundation brings power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes, giving the truck more predictable handling, braking and road manners. The lowered stance is complemented by staggered polished five-spoke wheels wrapped in 245/45ZR18 front and substantial 315/35ZR20 rear performance tires. Mini-tubbed rear wheel housings allow the wide rear tires to sit neatly beneath the factory-style fenders.

The bed is one of the standout visual elements of the build. An LMC wood bed kit features finished wood planks separated by polished stainless-steel strips. The inner bed, wheel tubs, bed sides and tailgate are finished in matching Victory Red, creating a clean and cohesive appearance. A restoration album showing portions of the paint, body and bed work accompanies the truck.

Inside, the cab blends the rounded styling of a 1953 Chevrolet with modern comfort and instrumentation. Black leather power bucket seats replace the original bench, while a custom red-and-black center console provides cupholders and additional storage. An ididit tilt steering column is topped with a custom steering wheel, and Dolphin gauges provide clear readings for speed, fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure and charging voltage.

Additional interior equipment includes Vintage air conditioning, RainGear electric windshield wipers and a Custom Autosound stereo installed in the factory-style dashboard location. The painted red dashboard, polished horizontal trim, black door panels and black headliner coordinate with the exterior while retaining the character of the original cab.

The odometer shows approximately 11,466 miles, represented as mileage accumulated since completion of the custom build. Stainless-steel fasteners were reportedly used throughout, and more than $110,000 is said to have been invested in the finished truck.

With its five-window cab, brilliant Victory Red paint, ZZ4 V8, overdrive transmission, late-model Tahoe chassis and refined interior, this Chevrolet offers the timeless appearance of an early Advance-Design pickup with the drivability and comfort expected from a modern custom build. It is a striking truck that runs, drives and handles as impressively as it looks.
