- Renowned for its motorcycles, compact cars and two-stroke engineering, DKW joined Audi, Horch and Wanderer to form Auto Union in 1932. Each marque contributed one of the four rings still worn by Audi today, with the Audi name returning to prominence as DKW production ended in the mid-1960s
- Introduced in 1949, the Schnellaster helped restart Auto Union vehicle production after the war and became the first vehicle manufactured by the company in Ingolstadt. These characterful commercials played their part in getting businesses moving again, making surviving examples an engaging piece of motoring history
- An exceptionally unusual find in right-hand drive pick-up form, this example was restored in South Africa before coming to the UK. Finished in beige with contrasting black wings, it features a matching three-person bench seat, black carpets and a load bed with drop-down sides
- Powered by a characterful three-cylinder two-stroke engine, coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox with column-mounted change. Recently attended to by respected UK two-stroke specialist Tim Bishop, it is reported to start, run and drive well
- Presenting an appealing opportunity for a classic commercial collector or enthusiast seeking something rather different, this Schnellaster is possibly the only pick-up of its type in the UK. Accompanied by its NOVA certificate and awaiting UK registration if staying in the UK
