£20,000.00 | €23,860.66 | $26,695.30

Estimated Price: £15,000 - £20,000

  • First registered on 09/06/1988 and supplied by Paramount Jaguar of Derby, finished in Solent Blue Metallic with Doeskin leather upholstery and distinctive Pepperpot alloy wheels. Powered by Jaguar's 5.3-litre V12, this late-production Series III Sovereign represents one of the final developments of Jaguar's traditional luxury saloon
  • Acquired in February 1989 by Professor Harry Smith for £24,625, remaining in his ownership until 2006, and maintained by Jaguar main dealers and recognised marque specialists including Sarsons and David Marks. The extensive history file includes the original book pack, purchase documentation and comprehensive service records up to 2006, with further mechanical records covering the intervening years, including replacement head gaskets in 2016
  • Purchased by our vendor in 2021 as a non-running restoration project and subsequently entrusted to Jaguar specialist Tom Lenthall in Berkshire. Completed during 2023 at a cost of approximately £92,000, the comprehensive restoration included corrosion repairs, a glass-out respray, fully rebuilt suspension, subframes and braking systems, new brake discs, adjustable dampers, refurbished alloy wheels and new Pirelli tyres. A modern Blaupunkt Bremen stereo was also fitted
  • Further servicing and recommissioning by Hilton & Moss in 2024 amounted to approximately £12,000, including paint protection film to selected areas. Following a failure of the original three-speed automatic gearbox, a remanufactured ZF 6HP26 six-speed automatic transmission and new torque converter were installed using a Jagbox conversion kit, with the work undertaken by a Jaguar Master Mechanic at JMB Motorsport's facilities in St Albans. Completed in August 2026, the conversion and associated servicing cost approximately £14,600, with the vendor reporting considerably improved gear changes, refinement and fuel economy
  • Benefiting from five years current ownership, the car has also recently been professionally detailed by Topaz in London at a cost of £1,440. Accompanied by extensive restoration invoices, service records and supporting documentation, it has an MOT valid until April 2027, issued without advisories. The V5C records three former keepers, although the vendor believes the actual number may be four due to its period in Ireland between 2006 and 2015
  • A comprehensively restored V12 Sovereign, combining traditional Jaguar luxury with significant mechanical investment and a thoughtfully executed modern gearbox conversion
  • Please note that the registration number A24 YAS displayed in the photographs does not form part of the sale and will be removed prior to auction
