- Porsche's first successful competition cars were lightweight developments of its first road car, the Type 356
- Introduced in 1958, the 718 RSK featured a lightened and stiffened version of the preceding 550A's spaceframe chassis and completely redesigned front suspension
- In an illustrious career, the 718 RSK and its derivatives took countless class victories in international sports car racing and won the European Hill Climb Championship and the 1963 Targa Florio outright
- Acquired by our owner in June of 2023, the process of creating this 718 re-creation stalled until specialists RSK Sports Cars were commissioned to complete the build
- Based on a 1955 Volkswagen Beetle, this 718 RSK re-creation is constructed from a lightweight box-section chassis with a mid-mounted 1640cc tuned flat-four uprated with twin port, big valve heads and twin Dell’Orto 40 carburettors
- Beautifully presented in Meissen blue with Fuchs-style alloys, black bucket seats, TRS full harnesses and a wood-rim wheel. Issued with an advisory-free MOT on 04/06/2026
- With decent power, a lightweight shell and the looks of a classic 1950s racer, this little RSK offers serious fun
