- DOT, whose name became associated with the slogan ‘Devoid of Trouble’, developed a loyal following amongst enthusiasts of British competition motorcycles
- Our vendor maintained contact with the company after their championship-winning season and acquired a prototype 360cc barrel, an unported liner and Alpha bottom-end components when DOT was closing around 2013
- These components formed the basis of the subsequent build, incorporating new electronic ignition, a purpose-made exhaust and a new carburettor
- Built with the intention of retaining as much period character and material as possible, including wheel rims and spokes of the type used at the time
- Later handlebars and levers were fitted to suit our vendor’s riding position, with the footrests also repositioned further rearwards
