  • Based on a 1980 BMW R100, the motorcycle underwent a full strip-down rebuild incorporating extensive mechanical refurbishment, chassis modifications and numerous new components
  • The air-cooled, horizontally opposed twin-cylinder engine and gearbox were rebuilt by Jim Cray Engineering. Both were completely dismantled and bead blasted, with new bearings, gaskets, bushes and spacers fitted during reassembly
  • A Siebenrock big-bore kit, comprising Nikasil-plated barrels and new pistons, increased capacity to 1,070cc. Further work included ported cylinder heads, replacement valves, twin-spark conversion and new 38mm Dell’Orto PHM carburettors
  • Equipped with Enduralast digital electronic ignition, twin-spark Dyna coils and a Hattech stainless steel exhaust system with stainless downpipes
  • The modified main frame was bead blasted and powder coated, with a new headstock bearing and custom subframe. A bespoke rear swingarm accommodates a centrally mounted, made-to-order Hagon monoshock, replacing the donor’s twin-shock arrangement
  • A BMW K75 front end with 41mm fork stanchions is paired with a custom top yoke. The BMW R1100GS-derived front wheel was rebuilt with a new rim, spokes and bearings, with new front brake discs also fitted
  • The one-off aluminium fairing, petrol tank, seat unit and front and rear mudguards were handmade for the project. Finished in gloss grey, the bodywork is complemented by a custom-made clear screen and hand-stitched leather seat, whilst the fairing’s inner surface remains bare aluminium to display the metalwork
  • Fully rewired with a Motogadget solid-state controller, switchgear, bar-end indicators and mini speedometer, together with a Daytona tachometer and a halogen headlight incorporating a solenoid-operated high/low-beam mechanism
  • Further details include billet aluminium rearsets, a custom stainless steel headlight and fairing bracket, new controls, levers and cables, stainless steel fasteners throughout and a bespoke side stand that tucks behind the exhaust downpipes
  • Only a few miles have been covered since completion, with a final inspection carried out by Jim Cray. Registered as a Historic Vehicle and accompanied by a V5C in our vendor’s name
