1976 BMW R90S

Declared manufactured in 1976, this matching number example was imported to the UK in 1993. Showing 23,700 miles, the mileage of the bike was not known when imported, but the MoT history shows the mileage as 9,712 in June 2006.

Also in the history file are many bills dating from 2015 for regular service / maintenance and repair with new carbs and starter motor being fitted and overhaul of the timing gear, forks and brakes.

This is a very nice original example, supplied with its correct luggage in good running order. Being original the paint work does have some marks in the tank but the overall cosmetic condition of the bike is good. One of the most enduing classic bikes the R90S was ‘the’ standard of reliable touring bikes in the 1970s, introduced in 1973 it became the flagship of the BMW motorcycle range until superseded in 1976 by the R100 and was made famous by the distinctive colours of Daytona Orange and the Smoke Silver livery of this example.

Supplied with UK registration papers, an MoT until May 2026 and two sets of keys.
