1971 Chevrolet Camaro

Following the success of the initial run of Camaros, the 2nd generation was introduced in 1970. They were longer, lower, and wider than the first gen and uniquely were not offered as a convertible. GM Engineers stated they were more of a "Driver's Car" and incorporated a ton of performance improvements based on experience gained on the track with their previous model. These were all new cars with a completely different look. This 1971 is a great looking example and has received a full frame off restoration by Barry White of Wrecks to Riches fame on the Discovery channel. Over $80,000 has been invested to get to the awesome restomod you see here. The body is all very solid, straight and rust free. It is painted in a beautiful Red paint that has an excellent finish and really pops out in the sun. On both front fenders it has Black hash stripes which help give it a more aggressive look. The chrome on it is all in excellent condition and it has the iconic split front bumper that was exclusive to Z28s and RSs. The taillight panel pulls in more Black accents and a spoiler runs the length of the rear deck lid and fenders. A chin spoiler can also be found up front. The glass on it is in good condition throughout and is slightly tinted. The car has a great stance being slightly lowered and the Blacked out 5 spoke Boss wheels with a custom backspace and Toyo tires suit it perfectly. They are 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in rear.

If that eye catching exterior wasn't enough to let you know this car means business just wait until you take a look under the hood. This muscle car is now powered by a ZZ502 crate motor that boasts around 605hp. That is plenty of power to get those wheels spinning and the car runs great. Whether it is to local car shows or long distance cruises this Camaro can take it. Everything is sound mechanically and it has also been dressed up to show off with a lot of cleanly added chrome. The motor features tall bow tie polished/ball milled valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, chrome AC compressor, Edelbrock intake, ported aluminum heads, Crane upgraded cam, and a Billet Specialties polished True Trac serpentine system. Cooling is of no concern even in the Texas heat thanks to the aftermarket aluminum radiator with large Flex-A-Lite dual electric fans with shroud. So it has the look and it has the performance, but what about the sound? Well the car does not disappoint in that area with Doug's JetHot coated headers into a 3" stainless exhaust that releases a throaty growl right at the 10 bolt rear end. Paired with the motor is a Tremec 5 speed transmission that moves through the gears with ease. The car shows very well but was also built to be driven so all the upgrades like 4 wheel power disc brakes and power steering are all there.

The interior features all Black leather which is in great condition throughout. The headliner and dash are all custom done in leather as well. Up front it has high back Pro Car seats that sit to each side of the original style console with a T handle Hurst shifter. The gauges have their original layout but have been changed out to Stewart Warner custom gauges. The Vintage Air AC system blows cold and the car was likely ordered with factory AC as it utilizes original controls and adjustable vents. In front of the driver sits a leather wrapped Billet steering wheel which looks great. The stereo is all custom and very high quality. It features a Clarion head unit with AM/FM/Sirius/Aux capability which delivers a great sound into the JL audio 6x9 speakers and amps.

This beautiful 2nd gen Camaro has everything you could ask for and more. It gets attention wherever it goes and even if the Red paint doesn't turn heads the rumble is sure to do so.
