1994 Ducati 916 Monoposto
£14,995.00 | €17,356.73 | $19,960.23

First shown at the Milan Motorcycle Show in October 1993 the Ducati 916 was an instant hit, the innovative and exotic stying changed the design of modern sports bikes for ever. At it’s heart was a thumping immensely powerful V-twin engine with racing pedigree that took Carl Fogarty for four World Superbike titles.

Due to a fire at the Ducati factory in Bologna in 1994 the early production bikes were built at the Cagiva MV works in Varese, these bikes have some noticeable differences, distinguished by the Cagiva Elephant logo that appeared on many components that did not appear on the later bikes.

Records show that aprox 1,451 916 Monoposto ‘Varese’ bikes were built in 1994 - this super early example is number 000097, making it the 97th 916 built.

A very fine and original example it has been part of a collection in the south of France but has remained UK registered. Showing 26,000 Kms (16,000 miles) it has had a recent engine rebuild, covering only a few hundred kilometres since. A three owner from new bike it remains in very fine order and will be supplied with a new UK MoT.
