1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

All tri-fives are cool but it is tough to argue against the the '57 as being the most iconic car of the 50's.  Along with classic diners and drive ins there is no better symbol for the decade than the Bel Air with its classic tail fins.  This 1957 Chevrolet has a ton of potential and would make for a great car for someone to finish out really easily.  Everything on it has been redone but unfortunately due to the owners passing needs just a few items addressed to get it over the finish line.  All of the hardwork has been done and what is required to make it 100% complete is very minor.  Starting with the exterior the car is very clean and solid.  The paint work is complete and done in a beautiful Burgundy color paired with those classic rear side panel inserts with Gold Bel Air script and crest.  It has all the other Gold emblems as well which were an nice contrast to the other stainless and chrome trim which are cleanly mounted as well.  They are all new and the car comes with the originals that were taken off.  The front and rear bumpers are nicely chromed and are the stock style.  It comes with the original wheels but now has custom wheels in place with nock off style center caps and Nexen tires.

Mechanically the car has all been gone through and it has a 350ci motor paired with an automatic transmission.  The car does run but is currently running off the battery.  Some light wiring work to hook up the alternator would make the car road worthy so you could even drive it while you continue finishing it out.  It has Edelbrock valve covers, Billet wire looms, an Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, Weber 4 barrel carburetor and Edelbrock air cleaner.  Under all that the block has been painted to match the body.  A compressor has been installed in preparation for an AC system but that still needs to be completed.  Underneath the car is clean with solid pans and the brakes have been converted with discs front and they are power assisted.

The interior is probably the area of the car that needs the most attention.  The front split bench seat has been redone in two tone gray and was restored to the original style Bel Air upholstery.  The same can be said for the door panels.  The rear seat and side panels have not been redone or reinstalled.  They do come with the car however so you could easily get them recovered using the same style Bel Air kit and get them back in the car.  It also needs carpeting and although the dash has been mostly refinished you will still note some holes where things need to be reinstalled.  The dash has been kept mostly stock with the only noticeable modification being that the shifter is relocated to the floor and is a B&M Quicksilver unit.  The battery has been relocated to the trunk which has been painted and has the stock style Black mat.

This is a very cool classic that needs very little to finish.  It comes with the additional parts and once you are finished you will have a freshly restored restomod that has never been shown so you will get to be the first to show it off.
